I've recently been on my heavy diet of strictly Hip Hop websites and came across this group based out of ATLanta who go by the name of the Soulphonics and Ruby Velle. This incredible band of straight up incredible music is part of a movement in music happening that is very special. Almost like a "revival" type of thing with a crisp throwback sound of soul. The most interesting part of the band is the lead vocalist Ruby Velle who is of South Asian descent. Today, I'd like to take a moment and introduce a very special person to this particular blogosphere. One night on my way to Brooklyn I had the K.R.I.T. Wuz Here joint knockin in my girls' whip. I came to find out one of my favorite tracks on KRIT's project was sampled from this songstress by the name of Adele. So I started to get familiar. Yesterday I was fully introduced to this joint that was completely moving. Her New project entitled "21" is soon coming. Major props to 2DB for puttin us on.

Here is a session I just peeped late last night that NEEDED to go on today. Guest appearances by Talib Kweli and Philadelphia's Freeway. Freeway just goes in on the beat. Kweli was on his cool shit, but all in all it's great to see Tony Touch and his Toca Tuesday series just vibin' out.
