SONG OF THE DAY

I was at the bar last night with a couple of the homies watching the NBA season opener. After seeing that the Boston C's are still in the mix to take it all the way back to the chip, I overheard this joint and was diggin' it from the jump. I don't think i have ever heard this ever before up until last night but it's been stuck in my head. Props to all the 80's babies dream chasing.

SONG OF THE DAY

Shout outs to my my dude Aloe Blacc for killin em with the music reminiscent of Bill Withers. This joint right here is AMAZING. An in studio performance. If you all haven't heard the full length he just dropped, entitled "Good Things" you NEED to. Aloe is also a famed indie rapper from the west coast who has an extensive catalog pushing work with producer Exile under the name EMANON and many others. He sky rocketed to the homes of all HBO viewers worldwide with his "I Need A Dollar" track which was used and continues to be used in the intro of the show How To Make It In America. Peep this heat below.

SONG OF THE DAY

This past weekend one of my homies hooked it up for me and the main squeeze to slip un-noticably into the TLA on Saturday night to check out Mayer Hawthorne and the County. Some other bands were there too, but no disrespect I didn't peep who they were. I was there to see if homeboy was all hype or refined talent. And the show was off the the motherfucking chain!! Not only did dude and his band tear the roof off that bitch, it was probably the best band I have seen perform there. With Mayer's tour continuing to thrill audiences, I know this man is going down in history. Not bad for a white boy with soul huh?

SONG OF THE DAY

I'm still routin' for the "pretty boy" to reclaim his throne in the RnB game. Though this came out a couple weeks back, I really digg it and gotta say the remix is FIRE. Drake, Kanye, Andre 3000. An unbelievable line up with Mr. Brown himself on the hook.
Peep it below:

While I was out last night with the homies my man put me on to a throwback that took me right to that special moment when I met H.E.R. While tipsy in the passenger seat he played this jawn right here. Props to the homie IAMTOLA.
